This soap is out of this world! We just couldn't resist picking hese ducks up. I made the base of this soap white, as if the ducks have landed on the moon. This is a series of 4 different ducks, one in an orange flight suit, one in a white walking on the moon suit, and 2 aliens.
These soaps are sure to amuse anyone!

Dinosaur ducks
When we were making our duck selections, these were so original, we had to get them. This is the dinosaur ducks first appearance! They come in a set of 4 different dinosaurs.
The ducks are sitting in green soap that smells like green apples. The soap is cold process, I make it right from scratch using olive and coconut oil. The green colour is from green oxide.
These are sure to make bath time much for fun!

Duck week! Princess
I have decided that this week is Duck week! I have posted about the duck soap that I made for my friends bridal shower, but I have many many more duck soaps. This all started when I was on a soap supply web site, and saw the ducks and had to have them. They were just so cute! I tried them at last years craft shows, and I sold out. My boyfriend got in on the act and we sourced some really neat ducks, and kind of went nuts and ordered at least a hundred of them. As you will see, some of the ducks run in themes, I will explain as they come up.
Today I bring you the princess ducks. Perfect for little girls everywhere! They come in 2 colours, pink and purple.
These ducks are sitting in cold process soap made with olive oil and coconut oil with pink oxide as the colourant. The scent is Pink Sugar, it smells wonderfully like birthday cake. The ducks are flexible plastic and squirt water. A delightful addition to bath time! The bonus is you have to keep washing to release the duck from the soap.

Skull soap
I like to make many different types of soap. I love trying new things and presenting them at craft shows to see if other people like my creations. I look at everyday items and think about how I could make a cool soap with that. The Skull soap is a soap that I sold at last years Christmas craft shows, and it sold pretty well.
It started off with a silicone ice cube tray that I saw in a store. I love using silicone molds, taking the soap out of the molds is so easy, the soap does not stick to the silicone and just pops out. The skull soap is a two part process, first I make the skulls as shown. I have made the skulls in different colours and scents, this one is pink and it smells like cake.
I take the skulls and set them into a black, licorice scented batch of soap in a square mold, then cut it into bars.
Hopefully it will do well again this year.

Wedding Ducks
A good friend of mine is going to be married in a few weeks, and a few weeks ago we threw her a bridal shower. The bride's sister had asked me if I could make bride and groom rubber duck soap to give to the guests of the shower as favors.
I didn't have a lot of time to make the ducks, so the bases are glycerin, tinted pink, that was the theme of the shower.
I wanted to give the soaps an extra touch, I used a heart shaped mold for the bases, and I had red heart shape embeds that I placed in every soap.
Then I had bought some printed cellophane a few months earlier and this seemed like to perfect opportunity to use it.
Everyone was very pleased with there gift. The shower was a success.

Soap Rack
The method that I make soap is cold process. In this method, after the soap comes out of the molds, it needs to cure for about 4 weeks. 4 weeks is a long time to have multiple batches of soap just laying around the house, so I have come up with a solution I have found that using the wine storage rack out of the Gorm series at IKEA is the best. It allows the air to circulate around all the soap, and it doesn't take up that much space. The Gorm series is the unfinished pine shelving at IKEA, it allows you to buy the pieces separately. I am using 4 up right components, then 14 of the wine storage shelves. This unit sits nicely in my dining room. Since I am gearing up for another year of craft shows, the rack gets quite full at this time of year.
After the soap is in the rack for 4 weeks, I can package it and sell it at the next craft show.
